| Organic Houjicha
DESCRIPTION:Houjicha is a traditional Japanese green tea made by roasting Bancha at a high temperature, creating its distinctive light brown color and aroma of freshly roasted coffee. The roasting process lowers the caffeine level in the tea drastically, making it a tea with high in anti-oxidants bu low in caffeine.
Unlike most Bancha which are made with oversize coarse matured leaves without the finishing rolling process because the leaves are too coarse to be rolled, our Bancha uses tea leaves which are harvested before they get too big and hence are able to be rolled a little so that the goodness of the tea is enveloped within the leaves. Made with such organic Bancha, our organic Houjicha has a quality unlike most contemporary organic Houjicha.
